Beyond the starting price of $3500, a prevalent issue has been reported by many users of the Apple Vision Pro. In response, Apple has teamed up with an unexpected ally to introduce a solution that will be sold directly from their stores.
An Apple-endorsed comfort strap
ResMed, a company with over thirty years of expertise in creating ergonomic accessories, has unveiled a new strap specifically tailored for the Apple Vision Pro, designed for prolonged usage.
Included with the Apple Vision Pro are two strap options: the Solo Knit Band, which offers a sleek appearance, and the Dual Loop Band, which Apple has chosen to use for in-store demonstrations to address comfort and fitting issues.
Despite these offerings, many users still find the Apple Vision Pro uncomfortable after extended periods of wear. Apple suggests taking regular breaks during usage to mitigate discomfort. Yet, for activities like watching a long film or engaging in productivity sessions, uninterrupted use is often preferable.
This discomfort has prompted Apple to officially endorse the ResMed Apple Vision Pro strap, which is now available through Apple’s retail outlets.
Kontor Head Strap by ResMed
According to ResMed, the Kontor Head Strap for Apple Vision Pro provides an “excellent balance of comfort and support during extended wear.”
The company achieves this with a mix of exclusive ultra-premium materials crafted to be kind to the skin, along with an option to add six modular counterweights for further customization of the Apple Vision Pro experience.
Typically known for producing medical devices for sleep and respiratory care, including CPAP machines and masks for sleep apnea, ResMed appears to be a surprising collaborator for Apple. However, their focus on comfort may position them well to enhance the Apple Vision Pro experience for users.
“With 35 years of specialization in developing headgear and facial interfaces, ResMed stands as a pioneer in delivering innovative, effective, and comfortable solutions for sleep apnea treatment,” the brand notes.

Before the introduction of the ResMed Kontor Head Strap, Apple also offered a Belkin-branded top strap for Vision Pro’s Solo Knit Band at $49.95. Conversely, the Kontor Head Strap, which operates as a standalone band rather than an accessory, is priced at $119.95.
