As we near the conclusion of the year, Instagram is introducing a new feature for year-in-review collections. This year, you’ll have the option to create a collage for your Instagram Story that highlights your favorite moments from the past twelve months.
Creating Your Instagram 2024 Collage
According to The Verge, the new “2024 Collage” feature will be available through the “Add to story” option within the Instagram app. When you go to create a story, a new collage-making option will appear, allowing you to effortlessly compile your favorite photos from the year into a single story.
Along with the “2024 Collage” for end-of-year reflection, Instagram is also launching several other temporary features:
Instagram is implementing additional limited-time features, such as end-of-year-themed “Add Yours” templates, enabling your friends to respond to your story with their own submissions. You can also expect new “New Year” and “Countdown” text effects, festive chat themes for DMs, and secret phrases like “happy New Year” in notes and DMs that unlock special effects.
The rollout is happening now and will remain available until the first week of January. If you don’t see these features on your Instagram account yet, be sure to check back throughout the week.
