Apple revealed in 2020 its intention to open the Find My network to third-party trackers. Chipolo was the first company to release an AirTag alternative after that announcement.
The issue with previous models was that users had to choose between an Apple-exclusive version compatible with Find My and a cross-platform option requiring the Chipolo app.
The new Chipolo POP is designed to work seamlessly with both Find My and the Android counterpart, eliminating the need for a companion app—though some additional features are available through it.

Enhancements include a louder ringtone, increased range, IP55-rated dust and water resistance, along with eco-friendly materials.
All Chipolo key finders are powered by a replaceable coin battery with a lifespan of up to 12 months.
