Today, Apple has unveiled the initial developer beta for iOS 18.4. After the introduction of the Image Playground app with iOS 18.2 in early December, this latest update brings exciting new features.
Sketch Finalizes the Trio of Styles in Image Playground
The release of iOS 18.2 showcased some of the most eagerly awaited Apple Intelligence functionalities, such as integration with ChatGPT, Genmoji, and the Image Playground.
With Image Playground, users can generate unique images simply by inputting text descriptions. This tool can be accessed through its dedicated app or integrated seamlessly into other applications like Messages and Notes.
In the first beta of iOS 18.4, Apple has introduced a new style option for Image Playground: Sketch.
Now, users have a total of three creative style options available:
- Animation
- Illustration
- Sketch (new in iOS 18.4)
Back in June, Apple had announced that Sketch would be integrated into Image Playground. However, it didn’t appear during the beta phases of iOS 18.2 and iOS 18.3.
Finally, Apple has rolled out the complete suite of Image Playground features that were originally demonstrated at WWDC.
The Sketch style is accessible in Image Playground for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, available in the new iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, and macOS Sequoia 15.4 betas.
