In July of last year, residents of South Korea initiated a petition urging Apple to activate Find My support in their country. Initially, it was believed that government regulations hindered this feature, but the petition clarified that this was not the situation.
Apple subsequently announced plans to introduce Find My support for the region, with a rollout expected in spring 2025. This integration is now commencing.
As reported by Aaron Perris on X, the Find My network has officially become available in South Korea starting with iOS 18.4 beta 1. This update will allow South Korean users to track their misplaced devices, as well as discourage theft; the activation lock feature depends on Find My, a point emphasized by the petition supporters.
The public release of iOS 18.4 is anticipated in April, bringing several enhancements for users, such as Priority Notifications, a new Food section in the Apple News app, and more. For further details on the features in the iOS 18.4 beta, check out our comprehensive guide.
If you’re located in South Korea and are interested in testing the iOS 18.4 beta, you can finally utilize a long-awaited feature on your iPhone.
