The second Release Candidate build for iOS 18.4 is now being rolled out to developers and public beta testers. Alongside this, Apple has unveiled the initial official release notes for iOS 18.4. These notes encompass much of what has been reported on DMN over the past month, with a few additional insights.
Apple has announced that iOS 18.4 will be available to all users in April. As beta testing wraps up, a release date could be as early as next week.
iOS 18.4 will be compatible with all iPhone models running iOS 18. However, the Apple Intelligence features will only be accessible on a limited number of these models. Below is the complete list:

- Priority notifications will be displayed at the top of your notification list, emphasizing important messages that may need your immediate attention.
- Sketch is now offered as an additional style in Image Playground, enabling the creation of beautiful sketch drawings.
- Apple Intelligence functionality now supports 8 new languages and 2 additional English localizations, including English (India, Singapore), French (France, Canada), German (Germany), Italian (Italy), Japanese (Japan), Korean (South Korea), Portuguese (Brazil), Simplified Chinese, and Spanish (Spain, Latin America, US).

- The newly introduced Apple Vision Pro app, which is automatically installed for Apple Vision Pro users, helps you explore new content, spatial experiences, and quickly access information about your device.

- Access recipes from some of the top recipe publishers in the world through Apple News+.
- The Recipe Catalog allows you to search for the perfect dish and save it to your collection.
- Cooking mode provides a straightforward way to follow step-by-step instructions.

Photos
- New filters now allow you to show or hide items not included in an album or those synced from your Mac or PC while viewing the Library in Photos.
- You can now reorder items in the Media Types and Utilities collections within Photos.
- Uniform filtering options are available across all collections, with the ability to sort by oldest or newest first in Photos.
- Albums can now be sorted by Date Modified in Photos.
- The ability to disable “Recently Viewed” and “Recently Shared” collections is now available in Photos Settings.
- Hidden photos will not be imported to a Mac or PC if Face ID is activated in Photos settings.
This update also introduces the following improvements and bug fixes:
- Safari’s recent search suggestions allow you to easily return to previous search topics when initiating a new query.
- Setup Assistant simplifies the process for parents to create a Child Account for their kids, enabling child-appropriate default settings for later setup if desired.
- Screen Time App Limits will persist even if a child uninstalls and then reinstalls an app.
- The App Store now includes summaries for user reviews, providing quick insights from other users.
- You can pause and resume app downloads or updates in the App Store without losing your progress.
- New podcast widgets include a Followed Shows widget for tracking your favorites and a Library widget for accessing your most-used sections like Latest Episodes, Saved, and Downloaded.
