iOS 18.4 Introduces New Apple Vision Pro App for iPhone

The initial beta of iOS 18.4 has been released, introducing a brand new application for iPhone users. Mirroring the standalone Watch app for Apple Watch, a specialized ‘Apple Vision Pro’ app is now available for iPhone.

New application allows browsing of Vision Pro content via iPhone

One of the main highlights of the upcoming Apple software iteration is visionOS 2.4, which features the inaugural Apple Intelligence functionalities on Vision Pro, alongside a new Spatial Gallery app.

The fun doesn’t stop there for iPhone users.

iOS 18.4 unveils the ‘Apple Vision Pro’ app as a central hub for discovering spatial content, queuing apps and games for download, accessing information about your Vision Pro, and much more.

Below are the comprehensive details from Apple’s press release:

Beginning in April, users of Apple Vision Pro will be able to queue apps and games for download, explore new spatial content and experiences, easily access helpful tips, and quickly find information regarding their device through the new Apple Vision Pro app on their iPhone. This app will automatically be available for Vision Pro users upon updating their iPhone to iOS 18.4, and it can also be found in the App Store.

The Discover page features curated suggestions for fresh and noteworthy experiences available on Apple Vision Pro. Users can effortlessly view popular apps and games from the App Store; a collection of nearly 300 immersive 3D films, Apple Immersive titles, and additional video content via the Apple TV app; and the latest spatial photos, videos, and panoramas showcased in the Spatial Gallery.1 Exciting new Apple Immersive titles include “Ice Dive” from the Adventure series; “Sharks” from the Wild Life series; and Man vs. Beast. Today marks the worldwide release of “Arctic Surfing,” the latest episode of Boundless, while the forthcoming episode of Adventure, titled “Deep Water Solo,” will be available next Friday, February 28.

On the My Vision Pro page, users can access tips for maximizing their experience with Apple Vision Pro; view crucial information such as their current visionOS version and device serial number; and establish Personalized Spatial Audio. Moreover, users requiring vision correction will be able to store and view the App Clip code for their ZEISS Optical Inserts within the Apple Vision Pro app.

According to Apple, Vision Pro users will have the app automatically added to their iPhone once they update to iOS 18.4.

For others, the new Apple Vision Pro app will be downloadable from the App Store following the public release of iOS 18.4 and visionOS 2.4 in April.
