iPhone 16e: Benchmark Scores, RAM Details, and Charging Speed Unveiled

The iPhone 16e is equipped with the A18 chip, although there is a distinction between its GPU and that found in the iPhone 16. The iPhone 16 utilizes a 5-core GPU, while the iPhone 16E comes with a 4-core GPU.

Recent Geekbench results for the iPhone 16e indicate the level of performance consumers can anticipate from this device.

The Geekbench scores were uncovered by MySmartPrice earlier today. In testing, the iPhone 16e achieved 24,188 points in graphic performance, which is approximately 13% lower than the results for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus.

As previously mentioned, it is unlikely that users of the iPhone 16e will discern the absence of one GPU core. Overall performance will still mark a significant upgrade for those transitioning from older iPhone iterations.

Furthermore, this Geekbench report confirms that the iPhone 16e comes with 8GB of RAM, promising durability for its users alongside ongoing support for Apple services.

Additionally, MySmartPrice references a regulatory document from China indicating that the iPhone 16e will be able to handle USB-C fast charging at up to 29W. This aligns with the iPhone 16’s performance, which reaches roughly 30W for wired charging via USB-C. Further testing will be necessary to verify if the iPhone 16e can indeed achieve this maximum charging speed of 29W; however, the regulatory insight offers a strong indication that it will.

Meanwhile, for Qi wireless charging, the iPhone 16e will operate at speeds of 7.5W. Note that this device does not support MagSafe functionality.

The iPhone 16e starts at a price of $599, with pre-orders commencing today. The initial deliveries are expected to arrive on Friday, February 28. Are you considering making a purchase? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
