Apple is rumored to unveil the iPhone SE 4 in the coming months, bringing significant enhancements to its budget-friendly smartphone line.
A recent supply chain update has shed light on the new camera features of the iPhone SE 4.
As reported by ET News, LG Innotek is set to provide the camera modules for both the front and back of the iPhone SE 4. The device is expected to feature a 48MP rear camera alongside a 12MP TrueDepth front camera.
This information is consistent with exclusive insights shared by DMN last October, where it was noted that the iPhone SE 4 would incorporate the same main and front-facing cameras as the iPhone 15, with the exception of the ultra-wide lens on the back.
The inclusion of the same 48MP camera sensor enables Apple to market the new SE by emphasizing its capability of capturing photos with 2x “optical” zoom.
Additional rumored specifications for the iPhone SE 4 include:
- 6.1-inch OLED display featuring Face ID
- USB-C for charging and data transmission
- The first device equipped with Apple’s 5G modem
- A18 Chip with 8GB of RAM
- Action button
The official announcement for the iPhone SE 4 is anticipated in early 2025, with the most uncertain factor being its pricing. Currently, the iPhone SE starts at $429 for the 64GB configuration, and some sources suggest the new model may have a starting price between $499 and $549.
