Jena Malone Recounts Being Sexually Assaulted By A Co-worker

Jena  Malone revealed that she was assaulted sexually during the filming of ‘The Hunger Games’ a franchise that he joined in 2013 with the character of Johana Mason. In a post on Instagram, the actress shared that it all happened in 2015, in France, during the filming of ‘Mockingjay- Part 2’. Although she preferred not to name her assailant due to the culture of canceling her and that she does not believe that the judicial system can help her with her healing. 

She stated that she was going through hard times, a been through break up and on top of that she was sexually assaulted in her work by someone. She was feeling grateful because of this project. The people she became intimate with got to be pretty incredible. The mixture of emotions made her learn to order. She also said that she wasn’t prepared for such a traumatic experience, on the other hand, she considers it the true nature of life. 

In Addition, Jena Malone Offered Her Help to All Those People Who Suffered Through Similar Situations

Despite what she said happened, Jena Malone who did not specify whether the person who sexually assaulted her worked on ‘Hunger Games’ said she had to work very hard to learn and heal through restorative justice. She also made and continued to maintain peace with her assaulter who has done wrong to her so that she can be at peace.

According to the European Forum for Restorative Justice, restorative justice is described as an approach to addressing harm or the risk of harm through engaging all those affected in coming to a common understanding and agreement on how the harm or wrongdoing can be repaired and justice achieved. Jena Malone ended her post by saying that she wants everyone to be free from the burden of being violated.
