The “tiny earth angel” of Jenna Ushkowitz has turned one! The 37-year-old Glee actress celebrated her daughter’s first birthday on Friday by sharing many images on Instagram.
“Our young earth angel has turned one! She added, “I’m not crying, you’re crying,” along with selfies and pictures of her and her baby girl, Emma, having fun. It’s difficult to explain how the first year has been the slowest and the fastest ever. The actress added that seeing her daughter grow up into a curious, beautiful, and joyous toddler from a scrunchy baby has given her the most joy in her life. Adding further that she fills their every day with a lot of happiness.

Emma has discovered her voice as well and likes using it, Jenna Ushkowitz said of her young child. Emma will lick every plate clean, and her adorable belly laugh sounds infectious. Although she appears to be vigorously shaking her head while dancing, she is only bobbing along to the Elmo music.
Jenna Ushkowitz remarked that becoming Emma’s mother was the most precious moment of her life till then and has sharply focused her life and its purpose. It has taught her to focus her time and get clarity on all that is truly important. It has focused her to simply slow down and appreciate the present- the fleeting smaller moments of life. Jenna Ushkowitz further added that she has been learning ways to continue taking care of herself and be kind to herself and her body. It is because she ardently believes that the way she sees herself and treats herself would directly reflect on the way Emma would learn to do the same and she wants her daughter to never compromise on self-love.
