Jennifer Garner gives a stupendous performance as a wife who has been trying to put the pieces together as she searches for her lost husband in The Last Thing He Told Me.
In this new series on AppleTV+, the character of Garner, Hannah, is forced to create a relationship with Bailey, her 16-year-old stepdaughter. This relationship is forged in order to find the truth regarding her husband’s mysterious disappearance- according to a press release from the streaming platform.
Some of the latest shoots from the series show Hannah and Bailey sitting in a car when Bailey receives a text alert on her phone. Hannah asks Bailey if the text alert is for a news article, and Bailey expresses shock that such an article is coming up. Hannah goes on to reassure Bailey that there are no articles about her missing father.

What Jennifer Garner’s showbiz stepdaughter states is even more shocking. Bailey states that an article has been published that equates her father’s company to the Enron scandal- also alleging that it committed a billion-dollar fraud. Bailey informs her stepmother that a random woman on social media shared these allegations on the platform and further tagged Bailey.
Jennifer Garner’s character goes on to tell Bailey that the story is not true and that the woman should not have tagged Bailey in it. This does nothing to assuage Bailey’s fears as she demands that Hannah tell her where her father was, and why he had given her so much money.
This is when Jennifer Garner’s character insists that they go inside where she would be able to contact a few individuals, out of whom someone would definitely know where her husband was. This series is based on the New York Times best-selling novel by Laura Dave and is produced by Lauren Neustadter, Reese Witherspoon, and Jennifer Garner.
