Kate Moss, who’s been known to have a little trouble with words before, was back at it again on Thursday evening.
The supermodel was given the Innovator of the Year award at the Wall Street Journal Magazine Innovator Awards in New York City, but she ended up slurring her words and stumbling over them as she tried to give a speech about how much being honored meant to her.
The British model and fashion icon, who received the award for “creative achievement” onstage at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City, appeared to slur her words as she accepted her honor from Anna Wintour.
Kate Moss Hesitant To Speak
Moss was seen stumbling over words as she took to the microphone and even paused for several seconds before saying “thanks so much” after being presented with a medal by Wintour.
Kate Moss was less than chic during her acceptance speech at the Wall Street Journal. Magazine Innovator Awards on Thursday evening, stuttering and slurring her words as she thanked her family and boyfriend, Jamie Hince.
“I want to thank my mum and dad,” said Moss. ‘Y’all don’t know how much I love you.’
The supermodel continued: ‘And I really want to thank my son Lila Rose; she’s two years old today.’
Moss then turned to Hince, who had been watching from behind the stage curtain. ‘Happy 30th birthday,’ she said (he turns 31 on November 13).
Moss might have had too many drinks at dinner, or she may be suffering from a cold. Whatever the case may be, this is not something that happens to the supermodel every day.
