According to reports cited by Deadline, Kathryn Dennis won’t be returning for Season 9 of Southern Charm as a regular cast member.
This week in Charleston, South Carolina, the Bravo series began production, and rumors said Dennis had been let go. Dennis will reportedly continue to appear on the show as a guest star throughout the entire season, though.
Since the reality series’ premiere in 2014, Dennis has played a crucial role in its success. Her on-again, off-again romance with cast member Thomas Ravenel resulted in some of the most memorable events from the early seasons, despite the fact that she was just a guest appearance in Season 1.
Kathryn Dennis Has Moved On
Kathryn Dennis and Ravenel’s breakup and subsequent reunion with a newborn child in the first season finale shocked the audience. Dennis received a promotion to full-time in Season 2 and continued to steer storylines with Ravenel and their turbulent relationship. The couple eventually welcomed a second child but then decided to end their relationship permanently.
Kathryn Dennis most recently allowed Chleb Ravenell, a newcomer to the show in Season 8, into her heart. Dennis’ appearance on the show decreased once the couple split up, despite being prominently featured in the first half of the season. Fans voiced their displeasure when allegations surfaced that Dennis had been fired from the program since she had been the most prominent female cast member since the start of the show.
The cast for Season 9 has not yet been announced by Bravo. Craig Conover, Shep Rose, Austen Kroll, Madison LeCroy, Venita Aspen, and Leva Bonaparte are a few of the stars of the most current season of Southern Charm, among others.
