The audience in “American Idol” heckled Katy Perry when she questioned a contestant’s choice of clothing.
Nutsa Buzaladze, a contestant in the top 26 who performed a song by Grace Potter while wearing sparkling silver attire with similar boots, received criticism from “Roar” singer, one of the competition show’s judges along with Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. She told Nutsa that it seemed like sparkles bombed the stage every single time she walked onto the stage but asked her to eliminate the glitter going forward adding that she was aware that would be challenging.
Bryan, 46, and Richie, 73 both rose after the audience at Disney’s Hotel in Hawaii started to boo loudly. They were both taken aback by the response of the spectators. “Katy got blasted!” Bryan yelled.
Katy Perry’s Repeated Odd Remarks Do Not Concur With The Audience
As the jeers died down, Perry, 38, said that for the first time in all these seasons that had happened, and all she wanted to express was that ask her to change the storyline. Fans appear to be finding it difficult to concur with Perry’s statements throughout this “American Idol” season. The “Teenage Dream” singer came under fire last month for her “mom-shaming” comment about Sara Liebe, a competitor who was a young mom of three.
She informed Katy Perry, Richie, and Bryan that her age was twenty-five and she had 3 kids before Liebe began her audition. All the judges were stunned, but Perry, who has a 2-year-old daughter named Daisy with her partner Orlando Bloom, got up and left her chair as Bryan started fanning her.
Liebe remarked that if Katy Perry had to lie on the table, she might just have to collapse. To which Katy replied that Liebe had perhaps been resting on the table a bit too much.
Post Perry’s remarks received a lot of controversies, Liebe posted on TikTok about how she felt at the time, where she encouraged young mothers to continue celebrating their babies and criticized Katy Perry for mom-shaming her.
