Nicole was receiving “backlash” from trolls on the internet as her former partner Travis Kelce is linked with a new relationship involving Taylor Swift. 31-year-old Kayla Nicole posted her letter through a clip on Instagram.
Kayla Nicole Targeted By Undeserving Hate
In the past, Kayla Nicole has worked for ESPN on the broadcast. In her social media clip, she begins her message by stating how important it has been to her to use the platform to unite and elevate women, particularly Black women, and not create division. With this, she starts by addressing the “Black girl”. She says that the haters may call her a traitor because she fell in love. This may make you hope for protection from your closest person. However, then, it won’t be long before she has to face the truth about people being reluctant to protect something they don’t value.
Kayla Nicole continues by saying that the Black girl may be too outspoken, too boisterous, too provocative, and too much. At the same time as this, also tell them that they are not enough. As such, they can continue by saying how deserving the Black girl is of the embarrassment and backlash, and that their Blackness should have made you know better. Nicole then requests the Black girl to remember that her value is elsewhere, specifically deep within her heart.
The host and model added that she hopes that her message will help Black girls remember that they are not journeying alone. In conclusion, Nicole wanted her listeners to remember that they are valued, loved, and have a right to space. She wants them to know that they deserve protection and that their feelings matter just as much as anyone else’s.
