Ke Huy Quan received the Asian Male Film award for the first time and he said that he stopped acting because he thought that there were very less opportunities for him. However, tonight they will be celebrating his historic win.
Ke Huy Quan made history as he became the first asian to win the SAG awards for the best actor male. Quan become the first Asian male to win the award for his performance in the movie called Everything, Everywhere All At Once.
He thanked everyone associated with it as he got the award from Orlando Bloom and said that it is an incredibly emotional moment for him. He said that he recently came to know that if he wins the award tonight he will become the first Asian actor to do so. He said that this is when he realized that it isn’t his moment only, instead it is a moment for everyone who asked for certain changes.

He went on to reflect on the moment when he stopped his works. He said that he stepped away and he did that because there were not many opportunities for him. Then he won the award and now he is celebrating with friends. He said that the landscape looks very different now and he thanked everyone who tried to bring the change in the industry. He also thanked SAG-Aftra for the amazing honor that he received from them.
He also mentioned his costar Michelle Yeoh saying that he is glad that both of them started their journey together back in 1984 and they both are now on the big screen. He also thanked Jamie Lee Curtis and the cast for the award.
