Kelly Dodd is looking forward to filming another season of “Real Housewives of Orange County” without Gina Kirschenheiter.
Kelly Dodd, who has become a frontrunner on the current season of “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” is already looking ahead to next season.
Kelly Dodd told the media that she has been offered a spot on the show and will sign with Bravo this week to appear in Season 13. But there’s one person who she won’t be able to film with if it goes through — Gina Kirschenheiter.
“I would love for Gina [Kirschenheiter] to go home,” Dodd told Page Six. “It would be fantastic if they were all down to just three or four: me and Shannon [Beador], Tamra [Judge], Peggy [Meehan].”
The outspoken reality star added that when she first joined the show in 2017, she didn’t know how big of a role she would play. “I’m one of those people who knew I was going to be great on television,” said Dodd. “I don’t think you can write what happens [on the show]. You just have to let shit happen.”
Kelly Dodd Opens Up About Her Feelings
Kelly Dodd is looking forward to filming another season of “Real Housewives of Orange County” without Gina Kirschenheiter.
Bravo announced on Thursday that the reality series will return for Season 12 in 2020 and Kelly took to Instagram to share her excitement about the new season. But she also made sure to take a jab at her co-star, who has been accused of being a bad friend on multiple occasions throughout RHOC history: “It’s official. I’m excited for another season with my favorite girls! Don’t forget about me when you’re filming your own show,” she wrote alongside an image with Eden Sassoon, Vicki Gunvalson and Shannon Beador.
Gina has previously spoken out about why she chose not to return for another season after this year but did not explain what led her decision making process.
She also revealed during an interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish that while she loved working with all five ladies on this past year’s series (including Kelly), some were more difficult than others when it came time for filming scenes together.
“They definitely weren’t easy,” Gina said while explaining how they sometimes had difficulty getting along outside their friendship groups.
“Like there was drama between me and Teddi M., which sometimes happens when you’re filming together… It wasn’t really resolved,” she continued before adding: “You know what? Life goes on!”
