Kenedi Anderson, the winner of the Platinum ticket in season 20 of American Idol has quit the show which was announced by the host, Ryan Seacrest. Kenedi Anderson was among the three contestants who won the platinum ticket and went ahead with the Hollywood episode. Even though judges praised her performance in the past, she left the competition midway after there were only 24 contestants.
Kenedi Anderson Left The Season 20 Of Idol For Personal Problems
The announcement of this news was done after the last performance of Kenedi where she sang ‘Human’ by Christina Perry. Ryan mentioned that as she has decided to not continue with the competition anymore due to her personal issues, the voting lines for her were closed. The last performance was recorded earlier in Hawaii and thus, she is no longer a part of this competition.
Ryan also gave his best wishes to her and encouraged the fans by saying that more talented performances were yet to come this season. The departure of Kenedi Anderson will result in the elimination of just one contestant out of the 11 this Monday and then the top 20 performers will be confirmed.
Following this incident, Anderson posted on Instagram that this was the hardest decision of her life, however, she knew that it was necessary. She stated that due to her personal issues, she had to take this decision. Moreover, she also thanked the entire team of American Idol consisting of the three judges, contestants, the producers, and also the fans that supported her journey throughout.
She feels lucky that the audience and the judges have given her this life-changing opportunity to perform in front of the whole world. She could share her voice with the audience and along the way she chased her dreams and felt very happy and lively for doing something which she loves. Kenedi also made some wonderful friends in this show and is very content with her short journey.
