Kevin Costner’s tenant’s curious rumors are being lassoed up by Daniel Starr.
When it comes to his interactions with the Yellowstone actor and his estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner, Kevin Costner’s former renter is clearing the air. According to Starr, a software entrepreneur who had been leasing out the actor’s guest house, “I just was the tenant; [It was] nothing else,” she told TMZ on Wednesday, June 21.
Starr went on to assure the publication that the current notion that he had grown too close to the Oscar winner’s estranged spouse when the married couple was still together was “absolutely not” true.
Kevin Costner Denies Cheating Accusations
For those who might have missed it, The Sun reported earlier this week that Costner confronted Starr for reportedly acting inappropriately with the soon-to-be ex-wife of The Bodyguard star.
Baumgartner had reportedly been “lonely,” the claimed source said, adding that “Chris and Daniel hung around a lot. She would visit his home virtually every day. But there was a repercussion, and Kevin found out about it.
This information completely contradicts Starr’s assertion, who acknowledged that Costner had moved out but said the two remained friendly. He’s a genuinely lovely man, and I have absolutely no problem with him, Starr told TMZ.
Recent court filings that Costner claimed Baumgartner breached their prenuptial agreement by refusing to vacate his Carpinteria, California, residence led to the tenant drama. The handbag designer and the actor had been happily married since 2004 when she filed for divorce.
