Keyshia Cole and Ashanti, the two most beloved singing sensations of the R&B genre had a grand face-off. Verzuz, is what the show is called, was held on the night of the 22nd January. The show had to be rescheduled not once but twice before it even began, however, it did not make any difference among the fans. Even with the irregularities in the timings of the show, over 1.1 million fans still joined to view it.

It was a nostalgic evening created by both the artists battling one another. Both Keyshia Cole and Ashanti performed their top individual hits. There was an issue with regard to the timing during the performance of Ashanti. There had been a delay in the performance of the R&B singer. Now, this is not something very new when it comes to the Verzuz. Anybody who watches the American webcast series on a regular basis is well accompanied by this issue.
Both Keyshia Cole and Ashanti were successful in outshining themselves. However, there was a score for each round given by the Billboard. The overall winner of the battle was revealed at the end of the show. The total rounds of the show were 20. And there was a winner for each round. Along with the regular rounds, there were also a few of the bonus rounds.
In the final round, round-20, both Keyshia Cole and Ashanti seemed to be unaware of the situation. Both the R&B singers seemed to be engrossed in their performances. While Ashanti went to sing one of her biggest hits, Keyshia Cole did something different. She used the platform to debut her new song. Although there is no doubt about the solidity of her new single, it came collectively from the viewers that Verzuz was not a very appropriate platform to make debuts. The battler came to an end with Ashanti as the winner.
