Len Goodman foresaw the day of his demise, and he died a few days earlier than the one he predicted.
The former judge in DWTS, Len Goodman, earlier stated that he believed he would have been his father’s age at the time of his death. He was 78 years old when he passed away on Saturday. He adored gardening, and while working with the plants, he suffered a stroke. The previous year, he stated that if he were to pass at his father’s age, it would be in the upcoming year since his father was about 79 when he died. On Tuesday, Len would have turned 79.
Len Goodman’s Family On His Passing
The renowned ballroom dancer also provided the publication with instructions for his eulogy saying that he wanted it to state that he had been a simple dance teacher who merely got lucky, which he believed summed him up. The ex-judge from “DWTS” announced his departure from the competition series just a couple of days before the interview.
Len Goodman announced in November 2022 that he would be leaving the show after being a part of it since its inception in 2005. He stated that he has been on the show since its inception in 2005 and the whole journey he said was wonderful. However, he believed that it was about time he spend his hours with his family and children. He further added that DWTS was an amazing experience for him and gave him some of the most beautiful memories.
Sadly, six months later the dancer succumbed to his fight with an awful bone cancer. Len Goodman’s manager, Jackie Gill, released a statement on Monday morning confirming his passing. The statement stated that Len had peacefully passed away at the age of 78.
Len Goodman, who is kept alive by his better half, Sue, and son James, from a past relationship, had skin cancer removed in 2019 as well as a malignant tumor on the prostate removed in the year 2009.
