In an interview, Lisa Kudrow discusses her struggles with body image. The actress who played ‘Phoebe Buffay’ discussed how she felt after seeing Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston dressed for their roles in the hit series “Friends” during an August visit on the Podcrushed podcast. Lisa Kudrow initially believed that she was just really thin. She said that as she studied the pictures deeper, they distorted reality.

And that was so startling that she realized she needed to lose weight. She was then obligated to diet. She responded that it was simply seeing herself in the series and Jennifer and Courtney in their clothes that caused such thoughts. In the beginning, she reasoned that it was since they knew tailoring, so they could talk to the costume designers as to where to pull anything in.

She described how she later requested that one of the co-stars attend her fitting because they said it wasn’t just about tailoring. She also didn’t want to imply that she was obese. Just the structure of her physical body was a mystery to her. But as the actress grew older, her opinion of her self-image gradually shifted.

But she realized that it was fine to look just like this. She stated that to stay healthy, one must remember that this is their body, and it’s okay. Friends, which aired on NBC for ten seasons from 1994 to 2004 and starred Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe Buffay, Courteney Cox as Monica Geller, and Jennifer Aniston as Rachel Green, was a sitcom that spanned ten seasons.

When Lisa Kudrow spoke last year on The Howard Stern Show, she revealed how Aniston and Cox came to her aid after her mother passed away during the pandemic. For the HBO Friends reunion, all six co-stars, along with Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer, got together. Kudrow declared that they’re always bonded, no matter what.
