macOS Sequoia 15.2 Enhances AirPlay Privacy Features

The new macOS Sequoia 15.2 beta enhances the AirPlay functionality, enabling users to share specific content from their Mac directly to Apple TV. A notable addition is the option to share only a particular window or application via AirPlay from your Mac.

Upon starting AirPlay to your Apple TV in macOS Sequoia 15.2, a popup menu will present you with three choices:

  • Full Screen
  • App or Window
  • Extended Display

This update provides more precise control over what you share from your Mac to your Apple TV when using AirPlay. Before macOS 15.2, the options were limited to either mirroring your Mac’s display or extending it. Now, users can opt to share just a specific window or application.

Currently, macOS Sequoia 15.2 is accessible to developers and public beta testers. This update, which also incorporates new Apple Intelligence features such as Image Playground, is expected to be rolled out to the general public in December.
