After a holiday break in beta releases, Apple has introduced macOS Sequoia 15.3 beta 2. This update is currently available exclusively for developers, rather than the public beta, and is rolling out as we speak.
The Main Feature of macOS 15.3: Genmoji Integration
macOS Sequoia 15.3 saw its initial beta release in December, shortly after the public release of macOS 15.2, which introduced significant new Apple Intelligence features.
The first beta of 15.3 included an exciting addition: support for Genmoji.
While Apple launched iOS and iPadOS 18.2 featuring the new Genmoji AI tool, Mac users initially missed out.
Fortunately, the Genmoji feature is now in beta for Mac users as well, with the public release of version 15.3 anticipated to arrive within a month.
Expectations for Beta 2 and Installation Guidelines
Aside from the addition of Genmoji, macOS 15.3 beta 1 was relatively quiet in terms of changes. It’s likely that Apple limited major updates because beta 1 was released just before the holidays.
However, following the trends of last year’s updates, there’s a chance this release could be more modest than usual.

To install the latest beta, navigate to the Software Update section within the Mac’s System Settings app.
Ensure that beta updates are enabled, and check that you are set to receive developer beta releases.
