Apple has recently rolled out new RC (release candidate) beta versions for its upcoming software launches, and now macOS Sequoia 15.4 is included in this latest set of updates—both developer and public beta RCs are available.
Apple’s new Mac update is nearing its public release
macOS Sequoia 15.4 brings a host of new features to the Mac, with a major highlight being a significant enhancement to Apple Mail.
Additional features include new emoji options, the ability to set up new devices using Macs via Quick Start, an expansion of Apple Intelligence language support, and more.
Many of these features have been present in earlier betas of macOS 15.4.
However, for today’s beta, don’t expect to see many new features.
This RC signifies that we are quite close to the public release of macOS 15.4.
Apple is projected to release this update along with related updates—such as iOS 18.4—very soon, with the official target set for early next month, potentially as soon as next week.
Given our proximity to the public launch, this beta will likely center on bug fixes, performance enhancements, and stability improvements.
In simpler terms, your Mac should function more smoothly with the macOS 15.4 RC, but it might not have any noticeable differences otherwise.
That said, if we discover any new features in today’s update, we will keep you informed.
