Apple has officially launched a new series of beta updates for its software platforms, with macOS Sequoia 15.5 beta 1 now available for developers.
macOS 15.5 beta 1 released shortly after the public rollout of 15.4
The public launch of macOS 15.4 is still fresh in our minds.
This update brought along a revamped Mail app, enhanced AI features, Quick Start support, and much more.
Now, we have the arrival of macOS 15.5 beta 1.
It’s still unclear what new updates and features Apple has woven into this upcoming major Mac release.
One potential inclusion could be Priority Notifications, which made their debut on iPhone and iPad with iOS 18.4, possibly making their way to macOS 15.5.
Due to the lack of Lock Screen notifications, this AI feature may require a specific macOS implementation, which could explain its omission from version 15.4.
Additionally, Apple did not roll out its new Food section for Apple News, which features recipes and cooking mode, in the latest Mac update, despite its availability on iOS and iPadOS 18.4. This might also be a feature to anticipate in macOS 15.5.
Whatever new updates today’s release introduces, we will keep you informed of any findings.
To install macOS 15.5, ensure that developer beta updates are enabled within the Software Update section in System Settings.
