They captioned a photo together on Instagram with “Rio John Chmerkovskiy.”Born~6.18.2023. 8.6 oz and doing well! We are ecstatic to introduce you to our baby boy. (sic).” Their six-year-old son Shai, according to Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovskiy, “is already the best big brother.” We all feel quite complete, the post concluded. Good times, XO.(sic)”
Maks Chmerkovskiy Is Super Blessed
Peta Murgatroyd subsequently said that they chose the child’s new name “at the last minute.” We adored Rio, which we discovered last-minute, the 36-year-old dancer told PEOPLE magazine. Our lengthy surname fits in perfectly with it.
Shai’s middle name is a tribute to Peta’s late father, Derek John, who died away in December 2022, and she and her 43-year-old spouse chose “something easy” to go with him, she continued.
