On Saturday, Gianna Bryant’s Mambacita clothing line was launched for purchase. The clothing line is a tribute to the late daughter of Kobe Bryant. The day would have been the 15th birthday of Gianna.
Mambacita Clothing Tremendously Popular
The apparel sold everything early into the afternoon, a representative from the estate team of Kobe Bryant reported. His widow, Vanessa Bryant took to Instagram to share a glimpse of the upcoming color schemes of sweat pants and sweatshirts of the Mambacita clothing line on Friday. It has not been two weeks since the twenty-year-long Nike clothing deal of Kobe was ended by his estate team.
Gianna Bryant’s nickname in basketball was Mambacita. It is a reference to her father who was legendary in the sport. Kobe was popularly known as the “Black Mamba” during his playing career with the Lakers. The father and daughter, unfortunately, lost their lives in a helicopter crash on 26th January 2020 when their helicopter crashed. Six passengers and the pilot also did not survive.
Vanessa Bryant added a short passage to the photos of the upcoming items in the Mambacita clothing line. She stated that it is done to honor the 15th birthday of her Gigi. On display was a collection of photos in which Vanessa and her three daughters modeled the white, purple, and black sweatshirts of the Mambacita line. They come in children’s and adult’s sizes. In another post, she wished that her daughter was alive to see the day and the reception.
There were no further details provided from the representatives of the estate team of Kobe Bryant. Bryant had collaborated with Dannijo earlier on. The company also posted on Instagram on Gianna’s occasion. They stated how her kindness, passion, and warmth will always remain in their minds and hearts. It will also be the guiding light for the Lady Mambas and the Lil Mambacitas in the world.
