Dennis Rodman, former NBA player and longtime friend of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, had invited Manny to his upcoming birthday party at The Paley Center for Media in New York City.
It was just a few days before the event that he reached out to him through Twitter: ‘@mannymua733 do you want to fly to NY and do my birthday party?’ he asked. ‘I wanna get my makeup done by u. please say yes Monique will be there too’

So while other influencers were canceling flights or making last-minute decisions about what they would wear that evening vs what they would work on later; Manny was going over the beginning of July about doing his makeup for his 70th birthday bash — but with just seven days before it happened at 7:30 p.m., there wasn’t much time left to prepare anything if they wanted it done right!
Manny MUA is a makeup artist and social media star who has over 3 million followers on Instagram. He has made a name for himself by creating bold, eccentric looks, often featuring dramatic eye makeup. He has been featured in numerous magazine covers and pop culture events like the Met Gala.
Manny MUA’s style is influenced by KAWS, Japanese anime culture, and “Super Mario” video games. His most popular look is an exaggerated take on the “Crying Jordan” meme (which features Michael Jordan looking sad after losing an NBA championship).
Dennis Rodman is a former National Basketball Association (NBA) player who was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011. Rodman is well known for his on-court antics and off-court eccentricities. He played in nine consecutive NBA All-Star Games from 1990 to 1999, winning two rings with the Detroit Pistons before moving on to play for Chicago Bulls, San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks.
