Marcos Rojo recently shared that he came to know about his exit from Manchester United through social media posts. The player has shared that after reading some of the social media posts he understood that his team contract will not be continued anymore.
Rojo further stated that he still waited to get an official notification from the team about the extension of his team contract. Rojo got the final news after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made an announcement at a conference that the club will allow Rojo to leave.
Marcos Rojo Signed Contract With Boca Juniors
Defender Marcos Rojo’s contract was meant to extend till 2021 which was rejected by Manchester United. The player has signed a permanent contract with Boca Juniors afterward.
Manchester United stated that the club received Rojo’s “undisclosed fee” that was signed by Louis van Gaal. Solskjaer also said that the fee for 2014 was an estimated £16 million. But it is reported that the deal had been mutually ended before Marcos signed for Boca Juniors.
Rojo, the 30-year old international player, was given a contract for three years with an option of extension for another year by Manchester United. The contract was signed between the player and the club in March 2018.
Rojo was a former player of the Sporting Club and after signing the contract with United, he played 12 matches for the club. Rojo exits United after making appearances for 122 times. He also played for the team in the FA Cup Final,2016 and in the League Cup Final in 2017.
Manager Solskjaer had presented a reward for Rojo after the club’s outstanding 9-0 win against Southampton.
