Irrespective of this tragic news, the famous comedian still took to the stage to deliver his second comedy set while he had been reported to have worked out his sorrow through his performance.
Performers have been known to process their trauma through the work they put out. The 50-year-old star comedian at a point opened up about his mother’s death with an interesting story about her.
Marlon Wayans Processes Grief Through Comedy
The “Little Mans” star waited till the very last segment of the set to reveal to his audience of his father passed only “three hours ago.” The “White Chicks” actor declared on Saturday of the death of his father at 85 via an incredibly emotional Instagram post. In the post, Marlon Wayans starts by thanking his father for setting such a great example for all his children and says that he knows he would always find him in God. Apart from Marlon Wayans, Elvira, his mother, and Howell, his father shared ten other children: Damon, Keenan Ivory, Shawn, Kim, Dwayne, Nadia, Vonnie, and Diedra.
Everyone has their ways of processing their grief. One could only imagine the difficulties of losing one’s parents and how incredible strength it takes to get up on the stage and perform in front of a million people.
