Kate Haralson, a TikTok user, had gone viral last week after she posted a private call over FaceTime involving Matthew Perry. Currently, Kate Haralson has said that the primary intention behind the act was to expose older men from Hollywood involving themselves with younger girls on apps for dating.

On Thursday, Haralson talked about the incident in an exclusive interview. She said that she had been called mean and a bully for posting the video. However, she felt that several Hollywood old male personalities are interacting with such young women. And that people needed to know about this.
Haralson claimed that she was just 19 when Matthew Perry, 51, had matched with her. It happened on Raya in May 2020. She claimed that the star of “Friends” had immediately requested her to move the conversation over to FaceTime from the dating app.
Now 20, Haralson said that other celebrities have matched with her as well, but she usually never chats with guys older than her. But this time, she had thought it would be fun with Matthew Perry. She had apparently recognized him but admitted to have never watched “Friends.”
On the call on FaceTime, Matthew Perry wanted to play some form of QnA so that they could introduce themselves. Kate’s post involved this session. No question was of a sexual nature, but she claimed that it was an uncomfortable experience. She said she had expressly revealed her real age at the beginning. She further claims that Perry had laughed when she told him that his age was actually more than her dad.
She said that the posting took inspiration from Nivine Jay’s viral video involving Ben Affleck when she had a similar experience with Raya. The two have since kept in touch.
