Metaplanet (3350) has now amassed a total of 2,100 bitcoin (BTC), representing 0.01% of the total supply of BTC that will ever be mined, capped at 21 million BTC. Recently, Metaplanet acquired 68.59 BTC for $6.6 million, which amounts to an average purchase price of $96,335 per bitcoin.
Dylan Le Clair reports that Metaplanet has successfully raised $20 million in equity capital within the first two trading days of its “21 million plan.” Additionally, on February 18, the company announced a 10-for-1 stock split scheduled for April 1, just eight months following a previous 1-for-10 reverse split.
Currently, Metaplanet shares have increased by over 1% in the market and are trading at 6,260 JPY.
