FOND DU LAC, Wis. – On Friday, March 28, a Fond du Lac County judge sentenced Michael Kimmons to eight years in prison, alongside an additional ten years of extended supervision following a first-degree reckless homicide verdict.

This sentencing originates from a fentanyl and cocaine overdose that resulted in death in Fond du Lac in January 2021.
Kimmons was found guilty of facilitating a drug transaction for the victim, who intended to use funds from a COVID stimulus check to buy drugs.

In exchange for orchestrating the drug deal, Kimmons received drugs from the victim. At the time of the autopsy, the victim had 10 ng/mL of fentanyl, 67 ng/mL of cocaine, and a staggering 2,000 ng/mL of the cocaine metabolite benzoylecgonine in his system.
