Society phrases a sexually abused victims to raise their voices and share their traumas. A culprit must be caught and punished. However, in a society where one woman lifts up another woman, fighting for equality, Monica Aldama definitely doesn’t belong to that. She perhaps still lives in the 90s. She hasn’t upgraded herself to be a part of this updated society. As an older woman and role model she has failed her students. A young woman is suffering because of her. Finally, she got what she deserves. She got sued by her student who has been the victim of sexual assault.

Someone from a cheerleading field would do such things unimaginable. American cheerleading coach Monica Aldama miserably failed at her position as a coach. And definitely as a woman.
She is the coach at Navarro College, in Corsicana, Texas.
A student of the same University named Madi Lanes got sexually assaulted at the university dorm.
They were having an after-party at their dorm. After a significant time, she went to sleep with a guy named Salvatore Salvo Amico. Who is also part of the same cheerleading team? The team is managed by Monica Aldama.
He climbed into her bed. Groped her badly, and touched her inappropriately in every way possible.
After the incident, Monica Aldama was made aware of the unjust situation. She advised Madi Lane to keep things low. Further asked her not to make a ‘big deal’ out of this.
She bribed her with such an opportunity as usual a student wouldn’t disagree. However, Madi Lane was aware of how things were going to unfold.
She left the team immediately within a week. After her drastic step, she was silenced by Monica Aldama. She asked her to ‘ keep quiet’. Even Maddy Brum, a veteran cheerleader, told her the same. She further added when things like this happen they keep it to themselves. Otherwise, there would be unwanted consequences. If the board were made aware of the situation they would cut their fund. Or even worse close to any slightest chance of closing the team. Monica Aldama would have lost her job.
There is no clear message from the representative of Monica Aldama, about what actions have been taken against her. She has been charged with covering up a sexual assault. She crushed Madi Lane’s dream. The trauma she has sent her to isn’t compared to what’s going to be done to Aldama.
