Apple has officially released version 1.1 of the Apple Invites app, which first launched nearly two months ago. Here’s what you need to know.
New Apple Invites update released alongside iOS 18.4
Since its debut in early February, Apple Invites has undergone a few minor bug fixes.
However, today marks the introduction of the first substantial update—in terms of versioning.
Version 1.1 of Apple Invites is now available for download on the App Store.
Unfortunately, the update notes are rather underwhelming:
This update includes enhancements for stability and performance.
This same phrasing was used in Apple’s last two updates for the Invites app.
In those cases, the versions were 1.0.1 and 1.0.2.
It’s a typical practice for Apple and various developers to use a 0.X numbering system for particularly minor updates.
However, with a release like version 1.1, especially coinciding with the launch of iOS 18.4, one would naturally anticipate more significant changes.
At this time, though, after trying out version 1.1 briefly, I’ve struggled to detect any noticeable alterations.
It’s possible that Apple may be planning some over-the-air updates soon, and the release of 1.1 in the App Store could be a precursor to what’s to come. That’s my hope, at least.
