Although the frequency of new Apple Store openings has decreased, the company continues to expand its retail presence both in the United States and worldwide. Here’s a look at the upcoming locations set to open in the US this year, along with a glimpse of Apple’s international expansion plans.
Three New Apple Stores Anticipated in the US for 2025
This weekend, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg provided insights into Apple’s plans for 2025.
While Gurman mainly discussed hardware releases, he also shared details about new Apple Store openings set for both the US and around the globe.
In the US, there are currently only three new stores on the horizon.
- Apple Miami Worldcenter
- Apple Bradley Fair at a mall in Wichita, Kansas
- and ‘possibly’ a location in Downtown Detroit
According to Gurman, an existing store in Ann Arbor, Michigan may also be relocating and receiving some upgrades.
The first two locations seem certain, with the Miami Worldcenter slated to open on January 24. However, Gurman is less confident about the Detroit location at this stage.
This limited list likely reflects changing shopping habits as more consumers opt for online purchases, alongside Apple’s strategic shift towards markets beyond the US.
Global Apple Store Opening Plans
When looking beyond the US market, Gurman provides less specific information but points out a variety of regions where Apple is targeting new openings.
He notes that the first Apple Store of the year is set to open on January 18 in Hefei, China, conveniently located in the MixC mall.
Additionally, there are plans for new stores or relocations in at least six countries, including:
- Australia
- Canada
- China (including Shanghai and Beijing)
- France
- Germany
- India
