Today on social media, Apple insider Majin Bu posted a comparison image showcasing the thickness of the iPhone 17 Air alongside the iPhone 17 Pro. In the picture, the iPhone 17 Air appears exceptionally sleek.
Although these models are prototypes, they closely mimic the actual sizes of the upcoming devices. When placed next to the iPhone 17 Pro, the iPhone 17 Air seems to be nearly half as thick.
The iPhone 17 Air is projected to be only 5.5mm in thickness, while the iPhone 17 Pro is expected to measure around 8.725mm thick, marking a slight increase from its predecessor, the iPhone 16 Pro, which was 8.25mm thick.
This illustration truly highlights how remarkably thin the new iPhone is going to be.
For reference, the iPhone 17 Air is set to launch later this year, positioning itself as Apple’s slimmest iPhone to date. It will feature a single 48MP rear camera, a 6.6-inch display, Camera Control, and a single speaker. More details about the iPhone 17 Air can be found in our comprehensive roundup.
