NFTs currently have a horde of applications that can go beyond digital art, from tokenizing assets of investment to gaming avatars.
It is also expected that several other projects would be coming online despite the downturn in the market in 2022. At the latest NFT.NYC 2023 conference, the team from Cointelegraph learned from projects, experts, companies, and the entire community how technology was shaping the entire digital world. After quite a few years of development, the first batch of gaming projects based on Nonfungible tokens seems to be entering the market, where they would be paving the way for a world where games and real life would be blended- according to developers and companies.
NFTs To Be The Future Of The World?
Matthew Liu, the co-founder of Origin Protocol, informed that just a decade down the line, one could easily be wearing their VR glasses, or just using their phones, or maybe creating some new system that would interact with the metaverse- but they would also be porting their avatar and their new NFT items.
As one of the earliest users, they would be able to start collecting more and more digital goods as NFTs, more than even physical goods, like watches or clothing, or cars. The co-founder of Immutable, Alex Connolly, also spoke about an increase in competition in the gaming sector as more developers and projects were seeking to address the many challenges one would face with blockchain.
The Vice President of Product at Origin Protocol, Linus Chung, also believes that most companies who have been trying to bring NFTs into the business should also focus on improving one pain point in the lives of people that most of the traditional methods would not be able to solve.
