Nia Long is clearing up the situation. After walking hand in hand at the Los Angeles premiere of Long’s most recent film, You People should know, on Tuesday, the 52-year-old actress and former B2K member Omarion sparked rumors that they were dating.
In the comment section of an Instagram video made by The Shade Room, she said, “Everybody simmers down… I’m single AF.” The video shows her smiling with Omarian, 38, as they pose for pictures.
The caption to the video reads, “The smile on Omarion’s face says it all!” Long shines in a fitted white gown while the “Ice Box” singer wears army boots in black and dark green.
The whole thing started when the B2K singer posted a brief video of him and Long at the premiere of her Netflix movie You People on Twitter. She and Ime Udoka, 45, broke up last month after 13 years of marriage due to his alleged affair.
Omarion also shared a clip from their public appearance with a blushing face emoji on his Twitter account on Friday, prompting Nia Long’s response. The Fatal Affair actress’s most recent relationship ended in December 2022 when it was revealed that her ex-fiance, Ime Udoka, was suspended from the Boston Celtics after allegedly having an affair with a woman in the team’s organization. He later offered his team his apologies and stated that he would not make any further remarks.
Nia Long Makes The Bold Statement
Nia Long made a statement only to PEOPLE after Udoka was suspended. Long stated at the time, “The outpouring of love and support from family, friends, and the community during this difficult time means so much to me.” As I process the recent events, I request that my privacy be respected. I will continue to put my children ahead of everything else because I am a mother.
Along with Eddie Murphy and Jonah Hill, Long stars in the upcoming Netflix comedy. In the movie’s trailer, Hill plays Ezra Cohen, a man who tries to convince his girlfriend’s parents, played by Murphy and Long and Lauren London, that he would make a “good husband” for their daughter, Amira Mohammed. Long and Murphy, on the other hand, aren’t sold. The play stars David Duchovny and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
