Today, Apple has launched new software updates for the public, including iOS 18.3, macOS 15.3, and more. Along with these releases, the company has also made new beta versions available for users on the iOS 18.3 RC and beyond.
Latest iOS 18.3 build for beta users aligns with public release
Last week, the iOS 18.3 RC (release candidate) was issued to beta testers. This version is expected to represent the exact software that will be made available to the general public.
However, as is often the case, Apple performed some minor enhancements to the iOS 18.3 RC prior to today’s broader public rollout.
Consequently, the company has released a new iOS 18.3 download for beta users that corresponds with the version made public.
For reference, the build number for the iOS 18.3 RC was 22D60, while the latest update features a build number of 22D63.
It’s unlikely that significant changes have occurred between the two builds, apart from possibly adding the Black Unity wallpapers that Apple publicized today.
Apple likely included a few additional bug fixes in the final release as well, though they may not have deemed them significant enough to warrant releasing a second RC build before today’s public availability.
