Today, Apple has unveiled several new public beta updates. The third public beta for macOS Sequoia 15.4, iPadOS 18.4, and more are now ready for users. Here are the details.
Public beta 3 aims to enhance performance in macOS 15.4 and beyond
Just yesterday, Apple introduced the third developer beta for its full array of upcoming software releases.
In line with its usual approach, the company has now rolled out public beta versions of many of the same updates.
The newly released public beta 3 software updates include:
- iOS 18.4
- iPadOS 18.4
- macOS Sequoia 15.4
- tvOS 18.4
- HomePod 18.4
- watchOS 11.4
The only platform not currently receiving public betas is visionOS, which is set to include significant enhancements in version 2.4.
One notable feature in macOS 15.4 beta 3 is the availability of the Sky Blue desktop wallpaper that was first introduced with the M4 MacBook Air.
However, overall, beta 3 doesn’t introduce many new features. Users can expect enhanced performance across devices as Apple continues to address software bugs, but significant new additions are scarce.
We anticipate these updates will be made publicly available to all users in early April, providing Apple with ample time to implement more meaningful changes before shifting its focus to bug fixes. Perhaps beta 4 will offer a more exciting release in the coming week or two.
