Queen Latifah Struggled With Accepting Herself As A Woman
Queen Latifah has come a long way. During an acceptance speech a long time ago she shared how it was indeed an absolutely difficult moment for her to accept herself as a woman. She liked sports. She used to run around in the house with a shirt. She gave a speech last year at The Grip Awards.
She couldn’t accept herself as a black woman. Queen Latifah’s parents taught her how black is beautiful.
Her parents faced a hard time teaching her she is a woman. She was always on high alert. It was difficult for her to maintain. And today she has conquered it all. She loves playing basketball with boys. Yet she wears those elegant gowns and heels.
All this because she wants to, not because people have said so. She appeared at the Gala wearing a white tuxedo gown, with a white shirt. She paired drop earrings with it. Her partner was wearing a red and black gown. It had a front slit with black feathers.
During the presentation duty, she wore a Carolina Herrera strapless black gown. She looked marvelous. Her dramatic outfit change was something everyone still talks about.
