Rachel Lindsay, a former Bachelorette, has returned on her Instagram account. About a week ago, the social media and reality television star deactivated her Instagram profile. The star, 35, made a comeback on the Facebook-owned social media network after days, back on Saturday. On her return, she marked the moment by posting a string of images on posts as well as her stories. All of them were inspirational and had to do with positive vibes.

She wrote on a post which she uploaded of a bunch of sunflowers— that she wanted to be like one of them. She wrote that she wanted to be like them so she could always “stand tall” as well as look for the “sunlight.” She followed the line with three emojis of the flora. Rachel Lindsay further added an image and video to her Instagram Stories. The images were of her hiking for the first time in the city of Los Angeles. She put in a message saying, “good vibes only.” She had deleted her IG account due to online harassment.

Why Did Rachel Lindsay Leave Instagram?

On the 26th of February, Rachel Lindsay deleted her Instagram page. This was a result of all the online harassment she had faced, following a controversy of racism on the show. The Bachelor franchise came under scrutiny after rumors of racist behavior and slurs by a contestant were revealed online. The show has since been criticized for not handling the situation firsthand.

Rachel Lindsay, in an interview, was asked about the situation. It all happened after her interview with Chris Harrison, the show’s longtime host. She asked about the resurfacing posts by participant Rachael Kirkconnell, which indicated racist behavior. The host replied that she had issued an apology. And we should have “kindness.” He apologized days later.

Rachel Lindsay said that for them to move forward, she had to accept it.
