According to the latest Management Top 250 ranking by the Drucker Institute, Apple has been recognized as the most effectively managed company in the United States. This year, Apple has taken the title from Microsoft, which held it for the last four years. Microsoft has dropped to third place, while Nvidia has risen to claim the second spot.
As reported by The Wallet Street Journal (via Apple News+), the rankings this year heavily featured technology firms:
- Apple: 92.1
- Nvidia: 90.1
- Microsoft: 88.8
- Intel: 78.5
- Mastercard: 75.7
- Johnson & Johnson: 75.5
- Procter & Gamble: 75.2
- Alphabet: 74.2
- Adobe: 73.9
- Philip Morris International: 73.8
This is how the scores are determined:
The Management Top 250 ranking assesses companies based on the principles of the late management expert Peter Drucker to identify the best-managed businesses. This year, 842 companies were evaluated across five categories (customer satisfaction, innovation, social responsibility, employee engagement and development, and financial strength) using 35 indicators from third-party data providers. The statistical model for the ranking was developed by researchers at Claremont Graduate University’s Drucker Institute, with calculations and interpretations performed by Bendable Labs, a private analytics firm that collaborates with Drucker.
DMN’s Perspective
I have a feeling that Intel may not appear in the top 10 next year…
