The Real Housewives of New York officially meets its end. This weekend on Sunday the contract negotiations for the latest version of the show that featured fan-favorite casting which includes Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps, and Ramona Singer have stalled.
Revamped Real Housewives of New York City Might Not Be Up To The Mark
The recent news confirms the talks to have finally collapsed, Bravo has annulled the offers for the talent and currently has no further intention of continuing the show. The show got rebranded to the ‘Legacy’ edition previously in 2022 on air.
Sources are putting stress on the network to ‘never say never’, controversies presume that the show might hit with a comeback much like the ‘Real Housewives of Miami’ version which was pulled out from cable dating back to 2013 and aired back on after eight long years with an almost new casting at NBC’s streaming platform Peacock.
In the meantime, the network will be focusing on the complete revamp of ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’ which will be starring a new array of faces with more inclusivity of color and culture appropriation including some as former J. Crew honcho Jenna Lyons, Ubah Hassan, and Sai De Silva.
Reports have also surfaced that Bravo was in the talk with some of the “Real Housewives of New York” team’s “original” cast members like Morgan, de Lesseps, Jill Zarin, Dorinda Medley, and Kelly Bensimon for technically what would have been starting right from scratch of season 1 ‘Legacy’. However, before even the contract negotiations were brought out Tinsley Mortimer and Singer backed off of it.
The talent later confessed to their reasoning for being sprung into lowball offers given by Bravo and the Network’s uncertainty to guarantee enough show timing for the actors in season per episode. ‘It’s not worth any of it’ says some sources close to the stars.
