Reese Witherspoon considers how uncomfortable she felt while shooting for the intimate scene in the movie “Fear”. One of the actress’s debut features was the psychological thriller in 1996 directed by the Fifty Shades trilogy director James Foley. She played a high school student in it who became involved in a turbulent relationship with a cunning, dangerous man (Mark Wahlberg). 47-year-old Reese Witherspoon recalled how she had no control over how the scene went where her character, still in her teens, Nicole has an orgasm while riding a roller coaster at the hands of David, Wahlberg’s character.

Reese Witherspoon said that she felt it was the sort of thing that the director had thought by himself and was not explicitly mentioned in the script. When asked if she would want to do it, she promptly refused. She further added that the entire thing had not been a great experience despite the fact that the site claimed that Reese requested one of the stunt doubles for the photos filmed below her waist.

Reese Witherspoon Talks About Exploring The Female Gaze

Reese Witherspoon claimed to Harper’s BAZAAR that despite the negative encounter, she had not been traumatized by the entire incident but it had been an experience that taught her a lot of things. It had been formative, says the star of Legally Blonde. She further added that the incident helped her realize where she fit into the levels of filmmaking.

Reese Witherspoon further added that this was another such incident that made her wish to work as an agent or someone perhaps in a nicer position of leadership who would want to highlight the perspective of a woman instead of showcasing the male gaze. When we asked for comment on Wednesday, representatives for 69-year-old Foley did not answer immediately.
