The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC) reunion special aired last night and it made for some interesting revelations. It turns out that one of the cast members, Jen Shah, asked her co-stars for money to help pay her legal fees.
At the reunion, cast members Mary Cosby, Heather Gay, Meredith Marks, and Whitney Rose were asked by host Andy Cohen if they had ever been asked by Jen to give her money. All four castmates spoke up and revealed that they had each been asked by Jen for money to help with her growing legal fees.
Jen Shah Was Refused By Most Of Them
Andy asked the cast why they hadn’t given Jen the money she requested. Whitney explained that she didn’t feel comfortable giving Jen money when she didn’t know the specifics of her legal situation. Mary and Heather both said that they didn’t give her money because they couldn’t afford it.
The cast members were discussing the details of the legal battle. It turns out that Jen Shah is now embroiled in a lawsuit involving her ex business partner. Jen Shah is apparently getting sued for defrauding her former partner in business out of millions of dollars. Jen Shah however has denied these allegations and she is now fighting the case in court.
The cast had discussions about the recent arrest of Jen Shah. Jen has been taken into custody by the Federal Buareu of Investigation in April. She was charged with conspiracy charges to commit money laundering. Jen is now out on bail and she has pleaded not guilty to all these charges.
The cast’s support of Jen and desire for her to prevail in her legal dispute was evident at the reunion. It’s not apparent whether they will assist her financially, though. Jen Shah appears to have to rely on her own means to go through her legal battle for the time being.
