Sarah Ferguson shared a photo of herself with her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. The black-and-white shot was taken in 1984 — three years after Fergie tied the knot with Queen Elizabeth II’s second son, Prince Andrew. “This photo was taken in 1984 at Newbury Racecourse in Berkshire during a family day out with my brother-in-law Prince Edward & his wife Sophie and her brother Christopher,” she captioned the post. “It was such a happy day! My sister-in-law The Duchess of Cornwall was also present for this outing and I recall how lovely it was to see Diana looking so well & relaxed as she laughed & chatted to her parents.”

Fergie went on to thank Diana’s brother Charles Spencer for sharing the sweet photo. “I feel very lucky to have these memories of such a special day when we were together … thank you so much @charlesspencer for reminding me about this wonderful memory which means so much to me today on #WorldSeniorCitizenDay #lovedit 😀😍💃🏼🦋❤️F💋x,” she added.” In the photo, Fergie is wearing a long-sleeved white blouse with black pants and thick-framed glasses.

She’s holding a handbag and leaning over Prince Andrew’s shoulder as they pose for a picture. Her husband stands behind her in his naval uniform.

Prince Philip is sitting at a table with his back to the camera but can be seen wearing his usual uniform of dark blue double-breasted coat, striped trousers, medals on both sides of his chest and black shoes.

He looks to be smiling with happiness—and perhaps relief—at having escaped from whatever meeting he had just attended before this photo was taken?

Fergie went on to thank Diana’s brother Charles Spencer for sharing the sweet photo. “Thank you @carl_spencer for sharing this incredible moment with us,” she wrote.

Sarah Ferguson Reminisces Diana

The photo shows a smiling Fergie holding her newborn and standing next to Prince Harry, who was just 3 years old at the time. The Queen is also pictured in the background along with Prince Charles and Princess Anne.

In his caption of the classic shot: “So wonderful these photos have been published but please remember that my mother would be horrified by all this publicity! She was always very private about her family life and would never have wanted these photos shared publicly like this! Let’s respect her wishes and not share them any further please! Xx #charliespencer #familyalbum #memories #privacyplease#grannydiana. As one of the most famous women in the world, Sarah Ferguson has a lot of opportunities to take photos with her family.

But on Wednesday, Sarah Ferguson took to Instagram to share a throwback photo taken during Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank.

In it, sarah Ferguson can be seen smiling as Prince Andrew hugs her from behind while they’re surrounded by guests and looking at Queen Elizabeth II.
